A blast of purple magic erupted from Twilight's horn, hitting Rainbow Dash and causing her to glow for a brief moment.
"Well? Did it work?" Rainbow asked impatiently, inspecting her abs, wings, and flank for signs of improvement. She found none, but before she could voice her displeasure, found herself doubling over as a twisting pain shot through her gut.
"Rainbow? Are you alright?" Twilight asked, stepping closer to her friend.
"I-ohhh..." Rainbow moaned in response.
Rainbow's neck straightened out as she released a roaring belch. The blast of warm, smelly air blew Twilight's mane back, wilted a vase of flowers, and caused a painting on the wall to frown. Rainbow was left with a deep blush across her face as Twilight tried to recover.
She coughed, sucking down gulp after gulp of clean air. "Don't worry, that's just your body releasing extra gas created by the spell. You should go home and get some sleep, it'll all be over tomorrow."
Rainbow burped again, much quieter this time, but still felt somewhat embarrassed as she backed out of the library.
"Be sure to report any unusual symptoms to me!"
Rainbow slammed the door shut and sat on Twilight's porch. She didn't want to go home just yet, and was in fact beginning to feel rather hungry. Her stomach growled, and she may have released a small toot as she stretched out her wings. Her body also felt a little sweaty, but after that experiment it was to be expected.
