As you take your first few steps into this newly reformed world the fearful reality of not being able to survive suddenly hits you. You comprehend your size to be approximately 1/32 of an inch tall with how much space you have to fit under your family's wooden fence. No human would be able to even see you unless their eyes were at most an inch away from your tiny frame and concentrated on seeing you, much less distinguish you from anything more than a minuscule insect. However, people will not be your primary concern in this unforgiving wilderness. Insects, spiders, and maybe even small mammals or amphibians will be the ones most likely consuming the whole of your attention.
All these these thoughts sink in before finally entering your family's backyard. That's when you realized that staying in one place for too long was way too dangerous for someone of your size. The grass blades alone were the size of buildings. An ant would probably be the size of a house or bigger! You would have to adopt a migrating from place-to-place mindset if you wanted to make it out here with all the other forms of wildlife. As you churn the idea of becoming a full-blown nomad around in your head more and more, the concept of constantly moving from one location to another suddenly seemed less forced. You would still be able to adventure wherever you wanted as long as you kept remembering to gather supplies along the way and if you still end up running into dangerous animals you could always retreat to your presently monolithic family members if they happened to be outside. Other small animals wouldn't dare approach your relatives so keeping close to them while their outside seems like a good idea.
Of course, there is the problem of figuring out where to sleep. You couldn't just lay on the ground out in the open where everything hunted and digging a hole through the dirt wherever you slept would put you at risk to the types of animals that burrow underground which, come to think of it, are a lot. Since you're now traveling the only choices you have are to either build multiple bases out of random junk whenever you feel like settling down and then you'll have multiple places to return to after you make enough or you could create a sort of tent to carry around with you for setting up quick and easy.
Lastly, there is the question of whether or not to stay in your family's backyard or to travel around the cul-de-sac from neighbor to neighbor with a new landscape every couple of days. You have a good relationship with all your neighbors and basically know how they act and react to certain situations. You also know that half keep a wide variety of pets that can range from giant dogs, even from human perspective, to rabbits, to even chicks and small cats. You tend to have a decent connection with most of the animals being an environmental conservationist and all but you're not sure how any of them would react to seeing a shrunken person, if they could even perceive you as a person.
Your body relaxes as the idea of becoming a nomad kind of sounds pretty badass. Doing whatever you want, surviving off of the land, moving wherever you will, taking advantage of the everyday giants surrounding you. It pretty much fits every desire you had walking into this new experience. Now what should you do first?
