Chapter #4

No Pets, Huh?

    by: Doom Author IconMail Icon
Yeah, that's Abby, the fifteen year-old. You can only see as far as her knees in those jeans, but those garish shoes would only be worn by someone of that age; Taylor would be into something much more mature.

Those massive shoes stomp across the kitchen floor toward the fridge, and above those impacts you can hear her talking. On her phone, you presume?

"What should we eat, guys? Let's see what we have..."

So, she and her friends are going out somewhere later? But then, it sounds like she's about to open the fridge? Either way, you scuttle a bit closer to her, to see if she may drop some previous food that could work as supplies for you. There is a great *thump* as the door of the fridge is wrenched open with casual ease by the giantess, and she speaks again.

"Whoops!"

There is an impact as something crashes to the floor ahead of you, and you instinctively flinch. It's a large, clear plastic container. Perhaps it's a tupperware tub? But then you see what it contained, as the dragons crawl forth from within.

Scaled, clawed feet clack against the tile as the beasts slowly pull themselves out to survey the area, long tongues crawling from snouts to taste the air. To tiny you, the pair are monsters from legend, reptiles that dwarf elephants. To mighty Abby, the geckos are cute, handheld pets. Perfect. Here you were, confident that fur allergies would keep this house clear of animals that might eat you, and now this girl has brought a pair of miniature Godzillas to gobble you up!

They haven't spotted you yet, and Abby is already stooping to scoop them up again in her humungous hands, but the look in those placid eyes chills you to the bone. Maybe you should make yourself scarce while those creatures are present, and search some other part of the house? But Abby is going to feed them something, so if you stick around at her feet there's a good chance of scavving some scraps from her obvious clumsiness...
