A new beginning

The fire flickers as the storyteller smiles. The weary band of men and women cluster, and listen intently to his tale. "Gather 'round, I've a story to tell ya," he beckons, stroking his beard. "A story about two people, made closer than they had ever been before. It all started..."

Note: this is a framing device to introduce the various story starts. There won't be any conjoinments until the characters and scenario are picked.
