Even with her bright pink dress and striking features, Aeris had grown up in the slums of Midgar, and knew how to blend in with her surroundings. Keeping an eye on Tifa without being noticed proved trivial, much to the flower girl's delight. A selection of materia procured specifically for the task at hand were sitting at the ready, and all that was left was for Tifa to make it to where Aeris was hoping she'd go.

A smile played across Aeris's features as Tifa made her way towards the market stalls, one of the busiest places in the slums, always bustling with activity and all kinds of people. Perfect.

Aeris reached into her bag, wrapping her hand around the first smooth orb of materia she planned to use. Her Ancient blood allowed Aeris to utilize materia in much more sophisticated and powerful ways than the average person, though she kept this little gift secret. Tifa was almost certainly unaware of this fact, meaning she would be just as surprised and unable to explain what was going on as Aeris activated a materia that-
