"Come on..."
Eric was not happy.
"Yeah, no, I-- you have to give me some warning! You can't just expect me to..."
He'd been happy just earlier that day, but he'd been on the phone for about 15 minutes now, and his mood had soured more and more as the conversation had gone on.
"It's not that I wouldn't want to but I can't just- No, listen for a seco- Oh my God, fine! Okay? I'll come with!"
It was October 31st, about 7 o clock in the evening, and Eric could already feel that it was going to be a long night.
"Yeah, I'll see you in an hour, I guess. Okay, bye."
And with that, Eric flopped backwards onto his bed, a deep sigh escaping his lips. It wasn't that he didn't like Halloween, but he never really cared that much about it. But his friends seemed to like it a whole bunch; and this year they decided that he was going to enjoy it too, like it or not.
Eric probably wouldn't have minded of they'd given him a little more time to find something to go out in. Telling someone with no preparations at 6:45 to be ready to go out in full costume was not really fair, Eric thought. Still, not like he had much choice at this point. Joe, Sandra, and Allison had teamed up on him over speaker phone, apparently already partaking in some festivities. With all three of them shouting at him to come Trick or Treating with them, he had to cave eventually.
And now here he was. It was 7:12 now, so he had a little less than 50 minutes to throw something together for a costume.
