He gives it to his daughter

He puts it into a container and whispers to it "I know that you are special. That you are capable of things I probably couldn't even imagine but you should only use those abilities to bring joy to other people". The slime vibrates in agreement. "Now I have some one you should meet".

The scientist knew he shouldn't take the ssw home but it was his crowning achievement plus his daughter always wanted a pet to keep her company. Also it would give him a chance to see how it interacts with people. So he secretly snuck the slime out of the lab and to his home. When he got home he knocked on his daughter door.

"Kate I am home and I brought a surprise for you". She opens the door and she is ....
