A newly arriving super human.

It all seemed so surreal, this situation. You were just lazing about at home, watching the TV in your undergarments when, like out of some cheesy action flick, a team of armed commandos kicked your door down, knocked you on your ass, threw a bag on your head, and dragged you off. They threw you in the back of a truck and drove for hours, never stopping in spite of your many protests. When you were finally let off of the truck you were immediately thrown into a helicopter, where some woman in her forties decided to finally inform you of the situation.
From an early age you knew you were... different . When you got angry or scared you could feel something well up inside you that you couldn't explain, an untapped power that you couldn't describe. You learned to suppress those feelings, shove them back into the corner of your mind... until a month ago. You weren't really sure what triggered it, the whole event having long since blurred into an unintelligible slurry of half true memories and dreams, all you knew was that you snapped, and your power emerged. You poked and prodded it like it was some sort of bizarre animal that you had never imagined, testing out your abilities privately over several weeks and even demonstrating to a friend or two.
Well, someone along the line talked a bit too much and attracted a bit of attention from some people in high places. Cecile explained that there were other people like you, and that they wanted to make a special team out of all of you. You were nervous, but rather excited too! A team of superheroes, how cool!
You emerged from the decontamination center and took your first steps into "facility 2". You were ready to explore!
