(This is an alternative version to the main timeline. Here James does not know people from the office and is yet to form relationships with them. "Hello, Mr James." Those were the first words you heard the moment you got into the manager, Kim's office. You had to admit that Kim was a nice-looking woman, looking like she was in her late thirties or early forties. The first thing that you had ogled the moment you walked into the room was the manager's long, pale legs.
"Control yourself, James." You said to yourself as you slowly started to speed up your heartbeat, without causing too much attention to yourself. "I am more than glad to see Mrs Kim. I have heard a lot of good things about you, especially when it comes to the sales jump since you became the manager in the office not too long ago. It would be an honour to work under you!". Sucking up to the boss wasn't such a bad idea, you thought. That's how you make an excellent first impression.
"I am glad to have such an eager employee under me! You seem like you do your homework regularly!" Kim smiled right back at you then proceeded to send a message via iMessage on her phone.
"You see, I've also done some homework on you. You graduated recently, with flying colours and have had the most outside of college work out there! It would be a shame not to take an interest in you." Kim slowly added.
"You flatter me, Mrs Kim, I hope that I meet your expectations. At least to the point that my grading holds." You half-jokingly smiled at her.
Suddenly you heard a little opening on the manager's door. It was another woman that came in. She looked younger than Kim and also had quite beautiful looks.
"James! I'd like you to meet Denise. She will be your new supervisor for the next two weeks to let you get the hang of how we do work here. She has been in the company for the past five years and is our best closer. I am sure that you can get along with her!" Kim said with a sincere smile and looked at the both of you.
"It's an honour working with you, Denise! I hope that I can learn from someone like you!" There was no sarcasm in your voice. You were glad to hear that you were appointed a top performer on your first week off of training, especially when that meant spending more time with a beautiful young lady such as Denise.
"The pleasure is all mine, James. I am glad to coach a future top seller. How about we get to it right away? There are a few clients that will need our attention in a couple of hours." Denise smiled back at you as she extended her right hand for a handshake. She was not someone that shied away from it.
