Chapter #4

Sportball

    by: Derpus Author IconMail Icon
You watched outside as Kat kicked her ball around. You remember her saying that she made the soccer team at school, so you figured she had been practicing a lot. You didn't really play sports, or knew anything about them, really. Your dad had successfully scared you away from any kind of sports, having told you quite a few of his own ill-fated attempts at trying out for sports. You didn't want the same stuff to happen to you, but Kat looked like she was having so much fun. You couldn't help but join in. Not really thinking about what could go wrong, you ran outside to play with your friend.

"This I've gotta see", Ana said to herself as she looked out the window.

Just as Kat was running over to kick her ball, you ran up and grabbed it, holding it over your head as you ran around with it. "Yeah! Go sports! Move the thing to the other thing!", you yelled as you ran around like an idiot, causing your friends to burst out in laughter. Your legs were short, but you could still run fairly fast for your size, enough to keep up with other people if you built up enough momentum.

"Jill, you're such a dork!", Kat laughed as she jogged after you.

After running over to the goal net that was set up in the back, you tossed the ball on the ground and cheered. "Yesss! Home run!"

Kat ran over and picked you up to give you a noogie. "Jill, that's not how you play, you doofus", she laughed.

You giggled as you fell back into a pile of leaves that had been raked before hand. "Well, you're gonna have to tell me, cus I don't know the first thing about sportball", you chuckled. "Besides, it looks really fun."

"First off, it's soccer", she chuckled as she picked the ball up. "And second, you're not supposed to use your hands. You kick the ball to the other person's goal to win."

"Alright, cool. Let's go!", you said enthusiastically.

"Uh, are... are you sure?", Kat asked. "I can kick pretty hard, and if you get in the way..."

"Come on, Kat, I'll be careful! Let's just play already", you whined.

"Well, alright", Kat said as she set the ball on the ground. "But don't you think for a second that I'm gonna go easy on y-"

You didn't wait for her to finish her sentence, quickly running up to the ball and kicking it as hard as you could... which is to say, not very hard at all. Still, you were able to kick it past her. You ran between Kat's legs and repeatedly kicked the ball over to the other goal net.

"No way, Jill", Kat laughed as she ran out in front of you. "Ain't no way you're gonna get one over on me", she said as she jumped over you, lifting her leg back to kick the ball back over to the other goal.

Hoping to score a goal over your more athletic friend, you kicked the ball as hard as your stubby leg could hit it, making a quick goal in the process. This would have been the time to celebrate. Unfortunately, Kat had already followed through with her kick. Your smile quickly dropped as you saw your friend's foot come speeding toward you. You felt an immense tingle of pressure as Kat kicked you straight in the gut, the sudden impact sending you flying.

A look of horror quickly fell over Kat's face as she realized what she had just done. "Oh fuck! Jill, NO!!!", she screamed as you rocketed through the air. Ana rushed out of the house, but there was nothing any of them could do to help you.

Where do you end up?
