The hours dragged on and on, and you fell asleep several times. It was just so boring, being trapped in your perfect little doll position, stuck inside a box on a rack in a toy store. You couldn’t move, you couldn’t talk, and you couldn’t even blink. Dust had accumulated in your eyes from you inability to blink, slightly blinding your vision, and stinging you with pain to no end.
When it had just started to seem like your position in life had been sealed, you heard the sound of footsteps. You glanced over as far as your unmoving eyes would allow, and you spotted a woman walking down your aisle. She was working her way closer to you, examining each of the dolls on the shelf closely. Finally, she reached you, and she ran her piercing gaze over you for a full minute. Finally, she smiled.
“Oh! You are just the cutest thing! Savannah will love you!” The woman squealed with delight. She grabbed your box and picked it up off of the shelf, holding it sideways. Your body tilted at an unnatural angle, as your prison was held sideways. You could do nothing but stare at the floor, and the woman’s heels clicking against the hard floor as she walked.
You were terrified beyond belief, as you had no idea who this strange woman was, or what her plans were for you. You had half-hoped that Patty would have told your mom what she did, and that your mom would have rescued you. Sadly, it seemed like that was not to be, as the woman carried you to Elizabeth, the cashier, humming a merry tune.
The woman placed you on the counter, and Elizabeth ran the scanner over the price tag she had slapped onto your earlier. The woman paid Elizabeth in cash, and then Elizabeth slipped you into a plastic bag, handing you back over to the woman. The two giantesses exchanged in brief, pleasant conversation, and then the woman was out the door, taking you with her.
The woman swung the plastic bag holding you back and forth, tossing you in a dizzying manner around your box-shaped prison. When she reached her car, she placed you on the passenger’s seat, and then drove off to her house. The car trip was long and bumpy, causing you to hit your head on the box’s lid several times. It took nearly a half hour to reach the woman’s house, and you knew that you were far, far away from home. You began to mentally cry, and pray that you could just get back home.
Your captor walked inside her house, and placed you on a table. She removed the bag, and then angled your box to face the stairwell leading upstairs. She examined you one more time, smiling.
“I’ve never seen a more realistic doll. And you were so cheap too!” The woman laughed. “Don’t worry little dolly, Savannah will treat you well!” She called up the stairs, yelling for Savannah. She then stood beside the box, and waited. A few moments later, you heard the sound of someone descended the stairs. You braced yourself for the worst, and prepared to meet your new owner.
