This choice: she has a hole in her bag, you fall out on the way and bounce away helplessly • Go Back...Chapter #3A Life-Changing Road Trip by: Unknown As Patty biked towards the beach, you quickly realized that there was a hole in her bag! Helpless inside your tiny ball prison, you tried to scream and alert Patty, but it was sadly no use. As Patty turned a sharp corner, you slipped out of her bag. You bounced off of the back wheel of the bike, and bounced away. Patty continued on, totally unaware of her sister’s fate.
You were screaming and crying inside of your ball prison, as your world spun over and over. You wanted to throw up, you wanted to stop spinning, and you just wanted to go back home. Suddenly, you heard a loud rumbling sound, and then a sickening crack. Without warning, the entire weight of a tank crushed you instantly, and you felt yourself spinning and spinning all over again, except even faster!
You had no idea what was going on. You entire world was black, and you were now stuck to some sickening spinning object. Your ball prison had been shattered, but you had no idea where you were now. Every millisecond you were scrapped painfully against sharp bits of gravel, and wet mud splattered against your body. You were too shocked for words, and you were unable to comprehend your situation.
Suddenly, it dawned on you. You realized that you must have gotten run over by a car! That’s why your ball prison had shattered. You had been hit by, and were now stuck to, the tire of a passing car!
Your heart dropped, realizing that you had been run over by a car. You had no idea where this car was going, or when it was going to stop. Everything was an uncertainty, and your life was potentially hanging in the balance. Your world rocked, you began to cry once more, and you soon passed out.

When you woke up, the wheels of the car were slowing to a stop. Thankfully, the tire you were stuck to stopped in such a way that you were not crushed against the ground. You heard the sounds of the car being turned off, which was soon followed by doors being opened. You could just make out the voices of people talking from your position.
“Yay!” A young girl’s voice cried. “We’re back home!”
“Finally. That was a long vacation.” Another female voice, this one slightly older, spoke.
“Come on Melissa. It wasn’t that bad.” A third voice spoke, older still. You assumed it was a mom and her two daughters.
“Whatever mom.” Melissa sighed. You heard Melissa shut her door, and walk away.
“I’m always happier at home mom!” The younger girl said.
“Me too Valerie.” The mom replied. “It just doesn’t seem right if we aren’t here at home in Atlanta.” Your heart broke into about a hundred pieces. Atlanta? That was ten hours from where you lived! You would never get home again! Tears flooded your eyes once more, as you saw your old life fading away. Valerie and her mom shut their doors and walked into their house, leaving you all alone outside.
Surprisingly, your fear and sadness slowly turned to determination. You refused to let your life end here, at the unknowing hands of this happy little family. You were determined to get back to your old life, no matter what it took. You began to will your body to reform off of the tire, showing strength and determination you had never demonstrated before. The progress was slow, but you refused to give up.
Time flew for you, but it was actually a full twelve hours until you had popped free from the tire and reformed. Your clothes had been decimated during the ten hour car drive, but you didn’t care that you were naked. You stood in the driveway, staring at the house that belonged to the blissfully unaware family that had almost ruined your life, and you debated your next move.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
