Nick saw his granny climb into the car and saw that her eyes were red and puffy and that she wore a huge frown on her face.
Nick surprised of that because his granny had always seemed to such a happy and delighted person. In all the years, he had known her he could not once remember her crying, not even when either of her husbands had died. Then Nick remembers, she had always seemed particularly happy to be with him and smiled when he tried new things around her or went somewhere with her. Nick finally realized that he just might have been her favorite despite him being the middle child.
Nick was completely silent as was everything else in the car except his brother who was contently listening to one of nick's favorite CDs. Despite the fact, Nick's dream had come true he was starting to feel sad about his death because everyone else, his brother excluded, seemed to be sad about his passing.
