Geralt stumbled through the swampy undergrowth of the marshes of Velen, cluching his side. He withdrew his hand to look at the palm. It was crimson red with blood.
"Still bleeding. Damn Fiend" he grumbled.
Geralt had been tracking the Fiend for the past hour, but the monstrous creature found him first. Geralt managed to dispatch the hulking beast, but only after it's claw sliced through his side. He had taken his last swallow potion, but the bleeding was too fast. He needed help quickly.
"Stupid mistake... always stay downwind of a fiend" he cursed to himself.
Pressing his hand down to stem the bleeding, Geralt continued through the bog, until a picked up a different scent. He stopped, smelling the air.
"Herbs? burning?" he said, pausing. "Sandalwood, and... lavender?"

"Anyone home!"
The door creeked open. Standing there was an old woman in a shawl.
"You need help, deer boy?"

Geralt fell to his knees. The old lady disappeared momentarily, before returning with a red vile.
"This should heel you, but be careful. It's potent"
Geralt took the vile and took out the cork. Cautiously, he took a sip. Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation all over his body, like every muscle was on fire. He fell to his back, writhing. After a few seconds, the burring stopped. Geralt looked at the wound, only to see it was gone. Surprised, he began to get to his feet.
"Many thanks..." he began, only to turn to see an abandoned shack.
"Strange..."
Geralt searched the empty shack, to find no trace of the woman. The only thing left was the vile in his hand. Theorising the old woman's disappearance as magic, Geralt continued on his journey back to the nearby village to collect payment for the Fiend.
Little did he know, the potion had side affects
