Alright, One series is Gravity Falls. Gwendy dolls coming to life is probably something in the low end of weird in this series. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't do an episode with animated dolls. However, if The Gwendys appear after the series ending, their location can either be Gravity Fall, Oregon or Piedmont, California.
However, the location kinda determines if they are either robotic or made of... Weirdness, I guess. Maybe it's magic? I don't know. In Piedmont, they'd have to be robotic. In Gravity Falls, the Gwendys can either be robotic, made of Magic, or some combination of the two.
Another series is Totally Spies. This did have a doll episode. They were action figures based on the military and did have a number of female figures. The Three spies also did face of a few villains who had magic, so the Gwendys can be either Technical in origin or magical. Maybe both if it serves the plot. The spies also faced off plenty of mind control and body control.
So the Totally spies show would give the Gwendys plenty of fuel to make the Spies their playthings.
