Mark figured it would be best to start out with a little one on one. It was a bit less dangerous and it was easier to keep his modded device a secret when you aren't surrounded by on lookers in the chat. So double clicking the chat his laptop let out a small *PING* announcing his entrance to the room. His username popped up in the corner just under KissingKate filling the room. The room was quiet for a moment before a small bubble popped up next to KissingKate as she typed up a quick message, which then appeared on screen.
"Finally, been waiting for someone to come to my room forever. I was about to give up and logoff! So you better not be some creep and mess up this moment. "
"Not a creep, promise, just a guy sitting in a dark cafe where the whole point of going is to shrink yourself over the internet and go into people's room by myself with my laptop. I can't think of a single way that would be creepy at all."
" yeah, nothing creepy there! Though I'm a girl willing to log onto one of these chats in the first place, so I can't say I'm utterly innocent here either. So maybe I'm a bit of a creep as well. "
"Well then maybe we can both see how much of a creep we are then?"
Mark and KissingKate went on to chat for several hours talking about their days, their lives, school and more over that time. It would seem they were both rather compatible enjoying each others company quiet a bit. Kate as Mark found out was only a little older then himself a senior in high school getting ready for graduation that was just right around the corner. She was on the track team and was looking to go into cross country when she found the right college. Mark was learning alot and one thing he learned was a bit surprising. Kate had never used a portal chat before or any portal tech at all.
That was why she kept it locked behind that password, her friends had talked her in to trying out the chat in the first place she really wasn't sure if she even wanted to use the portal. Kate was just to nervous about the idea sure she would end up hurting any little guy that would come though by accident. She'd never been good with small animals and a tiny person smaller then one of her old barbie dolls seemed impossibly dangerous.
The chat went on and Mark had to make a decision. He could keep chatting with Kate, she seemed nice after all and see if he could convince her to give him the password to the portal. However, he did have his modded portal device, he could hack the password in a few seconds and just use it, but how Kate might react to him using her portal without her permission probably wouldn't be the best. So he could ask for permission now or ask for forgiveness later.
