Waiting for the last introduction

The last remaining girl stood up and introduced herself. "I'm Lilly, and I am twelve years old. I hope we can work together to build something." She was wearing a simple yellow sundress and sandals.

Everyone looked to you, waiting for you to introduce yourself, so you stood up and decided to get it over with. "Hi." You absentmindedly smoothed out the front of your pants as you prepared to introduce yourself. "My name is James, and I'm eleven years old, and I was left here by everyone I knew."

"Why didn't you say your name in age order?" Melody asked.

You shrugged, feeling extremely small beneath her glare. "I was nervous." You took a deep breath to calm yourself. "But everyone knows each other now, and we need to get started on building our new home!"

Everyone agreed and began to divvy up the labor, the ten year olds would forage berries, the eleven year olds would gather wood for fire, and the twelve year olds would begin building shelter and starting the fire. Tony thankfully had a lighter in his pocket, and they were able to get a steady fire going, but everyone would have to pitch in to survive, you realized after the sixth trip for firewood.

"Alright everyone!" Melody called out, being the one selected to be the leader, since Tony didn't seem to want to do anything with the group decisions, "Gather around the fire, we need to make sure we have everyone before we go to sleep!" As she counted off everyone, she realized that....
