Blake kept waving and calling for Aria's attention, but his efforts seemed futile until the giantess's foot made impact with the ground VERY close to his tiny body. Fortunately, he wouldn't have to find out whether the spirits' protection spell would work or fail.
Aria stopped for a moment as she heard tiny noises...almost like...someone calling her name? The girl looked around for the source of the sound, and soon traced them to the floor in front of her. Aria was surprised at what she saw down there...
"Blake?!" Aria reacted before scooping up the shrunken boy into her hand and raising him to eye level. "How did you get so small?"
"Well..." Blake sighed, "I'm a mage. I made a deal with ghosts to toughen me up, but I ended up shrunken as payment. It should wear off in five days."
"Gosh...why would you do all this?"
"The thing is...I..."
Just then, the bell rang, almost deafening little Blake.
"We should discuss it later," Aria decided, "class is starting in a minute! Now where should I hide you..?"
