"Oh, you're going to eat it one way or ...

From Ketis point of view the human girl must have been one of the bravest or foolish people in all of Yndyre. Not only she had just dissed and insulted a being that was more than capable than sucking her blood dry, she just did it in a closed cage with nowhere to scape to.

It was both figuratively and literally like teasing a giant cobra once you are inside its pit. She had to give it to Maurlie, she stood her ground like a proud royal, but maybe her father should have used some of his money to teach her how to behave on a hostage situation.

“This is about to get Interesting” – Ketis said to herself, muffling her own voice to not call the attention of the Lamia.
The Lamia slowly rose, losing her hunched posture, becoming taller and far more threatening, took a quick breath and launched herself over the girl making a hissing sound which echoed through the darkness of the cave.

“Oh sorry, what was what you said?” – Said the Lamia over the girl’s body as her serpentine arms lift and wrapped around the chubby figure of Maurlie.

“Me, I…”

The human girl struggled trying to release herself from the lamia’s tight hug, but judging by the way her body contorted on the pressure it seemed that not even the strongest human in all of Yndyre would have it easy to scape, so the chances of a rich noble girl who never had to lift anything heavier than a fancy purse were practically nonexistent.

Ketis knew that it was a morbid spectacle, that may end up with some blood, well lots of it, splattered around, but her scientific intrigue was pushing her to see it in first row and take note of all of the details. If she was going to die anyway, at least she would take a chance to learn from the experience!

“I remember you said that my food is not good enough for you?” - Inquired the lamia. - “Do you have an idea of how hard is for us to fetch all those mushrooms? to cook’em at the right temperature? And season them with the right herbs?”

Maurlie did not answer, most likely because she was barely capable to breath under the Lamias embrace, let alone speak.

“So, I apologize my ~lady~ you are going to eat them one way or the other, you hear!

In that moment the Lamia stared directly into Maurlie’s eyes and began doing what Ketis would only assume was some type of hypnotic enchantment as her eyes glow yellow, red, and orange in different patterns.

For Ketis It was incredibly fascinating, terrifying and utterly horrific, but fascinating nonetheless. She had seen similar behaviors back into the desert, where cobras and other reptilians would lure their prey with their eyes down into their lairs to devour them more comfortably, no surprise Lamias could do it too! She wondered if Nagas could do the same, although if it was just like that she found weird that they had not used on her.

...Yet

Maybe it was extremely exhausting to perform so they only used it when absolutely necessary or when confronted with a less than cooperative prey, as it was the case. So she kept a close look upon the macabre spectacle. One for her research, two to aid the poor girl after its done and three find a way to avoid it ever happening to her.

The lamia stared into the girl for what appeared to be a few minutes, after which she just relaxed her body and left the human fell into the humid floor of the cavern, after which she just walked away from the cell, noticeably fatigued, as she needed to be supported by her partner.

“That will show her” –Said the serpentine woman – “And for you, girl, you better behave if you don’t want to face a similar fate”- Remarked at Ketis, who still was lying in the back of the cavern cell.

Both Lamias left the small cavern, introducing themselves into the pitch black darkness from the rest of the caves, leaving Ketis and the unconscious Maurlie alone inside the cell, not before leaving another rounds of mushroom mush.

The Djinn did not lose a moment and immediately went to attend the human girl.

Upon reaching the chubby woman she could immediately notice the level of violence the Lamias were capable to exert by just rolling themselves on their victim; Maurlie’s skin was all red with bruises along the areas the reptilian woman had co
ntorted on her body, and her face was pale with a faint bluish tone, probably due asphyxia, no surprise she had fainted, the girl probably couldn’t even breathe.

Ketis was ready to lay the girl down in her lap to check her other vital signs when suddenly and without a warning Maurlie just…woke.

In a swift move Maurlie, who a few moments ago had just been knocked out unconscious, straight opened her eyes and stood up, cleaned her dress and started to pick up the leftovers of the plate she discarded and place it along the others.

Then, to add to Ketis surprise, Maurlie sat and started to eat the mush. Not even showing a slight hint of disgust or the repulsion she had previously exposed, no, all the contraire she slowly downed every bowl with gusto.

For Ketis this was obviously result of the hypnotic stare of the Lamia, if not she could not explain the sudden change of the human girl and her utterly lack of concern about the situation.

Meanwhile, Maurlie…
