Akira wasn't doing alright. After the Phantom Thieves stole Okumura's heart, they thought they won, that they would be able to capture the culprit that was causing the mental shutdowns. Then Okumura had a heart attack in the middle of a press conference. Now the media was blaming the Phantom Thieves, and the public was going along with them. The moment they could be implicated in a murder and they were immediately cast out, every good deed is forgotten.
'Damn brat! I'll sue!'
Akira flinched at the memory. It's a bitter sort of irony that he was being treated as a criminal again, even if it's only the Phantom Thieves' reputation hurt, it still weighed on him. Then Futaba's uncle said the same exact thing to him after he fell. It seemed like the universe was out to get him, even more so than usual. He reached over for Morgana only to remember that he went off to explore Tokyo. A quick glance at his phone let him know that none of his friends were returning his texts. He was alone in this.
The world felt much bigger at that moment like it was pressing down on him. He hadn't felt like this since he got arrested and wasn't happy to be reunited with the feeling. It also hid something that formed in his mind, a palace, not unlike Futaba's in circumstance, but different in form. It was a city with Akira's shadow and his Persona's as it's only occupants. Except for the massive shadows that represented the women in his life. While they were protective of Akira's shadow (and his treasure) and were friendly with his Persona's, they didn't like trespasser's that may steal Akira away from them.
This didn't just affect his mind however as his body changed to fit his new mindset, shrinking him to little over four inches tall.
