You weren't going to let yourself be caught so easily, especially with the horrid plans these two seemed to have for you. Your momentum would carry you right to them, unless you acted right now. From the corner of your eye you spot a vine just in reach. You strain yourself and grab it, swinging yourself away from the bandit and her horse. In your rush you don't even notice one of your flailing legs kicking her in the face, just to add injury to insult.
"Ow! Keep running, worm! 'Cause if I find ya, I'll gas ye myself! And I'll make sure ya die slowly!!"
Her words didn't land, but the frothing rage in her voice was clear for all to hear. You heard the hooves behind you thunder once again. You needed a plan to deal with that horse or the Skuntank would catch up with you again. You were so busy escaping your pursuer you didn't even mind much that the deeper you went into these woods, the more they began to look like a dense jungle. The plants around you became taller and more exotic in their design. You dash past most of them without a care, but a special one catches your eye. It looked like a gnarled tree, but it was covered in incredibly long spines. Each of them measured as long as your am. Without stopping you run by and grab a spine. You scratch yourself a little, but the spine snaps off, providing you with an improvised weapon at least. (-5 HP, Spine Spear looted)
With your natural agility, you dive through gaps you were certain the horse couldn't follow, but this was one tenacious bandit. What obstacles couldn't be leapt over she charged straight through, not caring one bit about damage taken. She would have this little wretch choking on her farts before sundown. Even the horse is beginning to feel the strain of the bandit's determination. You sigh with relief as the ongoing hoofbeats get more and more distant. You might actually survive this encounter. Not one to take chances with such a dangerous adversary, you keep running. The clear air helps purge some of the lingering stink in your nose, but you're getting mighty worn out from running this much. (-10 knockout meter, -25 willpower)
When no hooves or distant angry yelling can be heard anymore you stop, panting heavily. Carefully you look around to see if the bandit is simply getting sneaky, but it is beginning to look like you have given her the slip. For a moment you pity the fox woman, who would probably be used to vent the Skuntank's frustration on. She didn't deserve any of it, but rather her than you. You felt a little guilty thinking so callously, but the smelly assault you endured just being near that scene was something you'd hope to never have to experience again.
A more pressing issue began to loom over you though. Where the hell were you? The dense jungle looked entirely unfamiliar and you're nearly certain this wasn't the Wild Woods anymore. You had no idea if this area was safe for a player of your level. It's probably best to get back to somewhere safer, especially with the skies darkening. Nightfall wasn't too far away and it would make navigating the thick jungle almost impossible, especially with you lacking all forms of light source. You wander onwards, hoping to find a road or some other sign of civilization.
