You eye the cockatrice. It didn't look particularly scary compared to the others, but you're not sure how your supposed to be gassed out by bad breath alone. There was also the fear of getting hypnotized, or even turned to stone!
You turn around to see the gryphon, Swarm, staring at you with piercing eyes from behind his bars. Even with the pen keeping you apart, its gaze is still terrifying, making you feel like cornered prey. Even for a low level mount, this thing looked intimidating! The goblin only mentioned that he was musky, but you couldn't tell anything about him from here. He would certainly make for a powerful mount. You'd probably be flying around a lot in this game.
