Amber was still yawning as the presentation continued on. She rubbed her eyes to keep herself awake, but it was really difficult. First Kole kept her up all night with his incessant snoring and second she had to be here early to prepare the presentation. Mr. Deasly, her boss, was rattling on about one of the objects he found on his latest expedition. Amber didn't mind that Mr. Deasly was the kind of man who would go off on adventure and bring back tales of his adventures, but the voice he told it with was so boring that it would make the living dead go to sleep again.
Amber looked at the statue Mr. Deasly brought with him. It was a statue of a tiny woman with an angry face, one hand was spread out and the other was held in a fist. It as a bizarre looking thing for sure. As Amber prepared the presentation she knew that no one knew who or what it was. The locals took one look at the statue and ran away as fast as possible. Only one old lady told them it was a statue that would grant a wish to a woman of it's choice. Some information that was, as there were no women around when mr. Deasly was digging.
So mr. Deasly brought the statue back to add to his collection. Amber suppressed another yawn as she watched Mr. Deasly going around the podium. That was when Amber noticed the statue was slightly balancing on the edge of it's pedestal. Mr. Deasly was a rather huge man and the podium would occasional shake when he was walking around on it.
At the moment Mr. Deasly was near the end of his presentation he gave a big slap and the next moment Amber saw the statue fall of it's pedestal. Without knowing why Amber jumped at the statue, grabbing it just in time. As Mr. Deasly noticed what happened, Amber suddenly fell a strange tingling sensation coming from the statue. Her mind told Amber to throw the statue away, but her hands were stuck to it. Then Amber noticed a light coming from the statue rendering her unconscious.
