You are too scared to say anything

" It's just that I'm not really sure I want to go back to work." You made an excuse but you were 100% sure thet you didn't want to work here. You were actually very scared. You didn't want to upset these people for fear of what could happen. You decided to bide your time until you could get out of here.

" I understand. But just give me a few minutes to convince you."

You didn't say anything in reply.

Woman began her orientation. She started with a brief history of the company and then continued, " These are some of the famous people who have
used our services."

The woman went on to list several celebrities most of which you knew. As she listed them you thought about what you knew.

One famous openly gay singer had been recently been spending a lot of time with a famous actress. He had gone to many award shows with her. He and this actress were seen in the tabloids many times together. You hadn't thought this was strange before but now you have a new perspective.

There were also singers who found new careers as actors and vice versa. Even some famous actors who are now trying their hand at politics.

There was also a child actor who everyone said was very mature and poised for her age. You knew this actress was up for an Academy Award.

When the presentation was over, you told the woman, " I'm really not sure this is for me. I think I should go home and think about it. I'll call you in a few days."

From behind you a young woman who couldn't have been more than 17 years old started to speak. " We've been checking and we really want you here. You have the expertise and experience that we have been looking for. Let us try to convince you."

" I really don't think so. I really enjoy the freedom of not having to go to work every morning."

" I assure you that are hours are quite flexible. And the salary will be... "

You backed your way towards the door. You wanted, no needed to get out of there.

You kept making excuses until finally you felt you could leave.

When you finally got home you were relieved. You debated for a moment about going to the authorities but you quickly dismissed it. You are just happy to be out of there.
