Heroism in mind, you set out for your local bank branch. Dastardly crime is attracted to money, after all, so you plop yourself in a seat in the lobby and wait.
And wait.
And wait some more. Superhero shows made it seem like more things happened in banks than this, but all you've done is waste an afternoon watching people argue about overdraft fees.
You sigh, casting your eyes around the place. You catch the eyes of the security guard, a tall butch woman who returned your look with a glare. Guess she was suspicious of the stranger who spent a whole day doing absolutely nothing but watching a bank. Maybe you should do something, kill some time, be proactive.
... Maybe test out the Power. After all, if a robber does show up, wouldn't you be able to better stop them if you had a better grasp on how your new abilities worked?
You'd have to be subtle, too; if you cause a commotion, you'd be doing more harm than good. Maybe you could just shrink yourself down right here in the lobby, explore the world at a new size. That'd be fun!
Or, you notice that the single teller the bank has working right now is looking pretty stressed out. Maybe use the Power to get behind her desk, see if you can't offer a hand at something.
And on the other hand, the security guard is still staring daggers into you. Maybe a harmless prank, to help get some stress off your own shoulders? After all, superheroing is a hard job.
