Midna smiled at her idea and waved her hand. Within a moment, her past self appeared. Imp Midna looked around, confused. She was just about to confront the wolf she had been chasing when she was suddenly teleported. Imp Midna quickly noticed her future self and became angry.
“Is this some kind of a joke? Who are you?” Past Midna demanded.
“I’m you from the future. I want to talk to you.” Future Midna responded.
“Prove it.” Future Midna nodded and grabbed her cursed shackle necklace. She showed it to her, causing the imp girl’s eyes to widen.
“I keep it as a reminder of what happened to us.” Past Midna started to calm down and looked at her.
“Why are you here?”
“The one you were about to approach is a hero and a friend. However, in my time, I’ve gained tremendous power. With it, I plan to have fun and mess with him. To do this, I came up with an idea, to switch places with you. You can relax while I help out our people.” Future Midna explained. Her past self thought about it for a minute.
She had no idea how her future self got here or how she obtained the power. However, if she was telling the truth, her future self would easily be able to save her people and stop Zant.
“Ok then. I guess I’ll trust you.” Imp Midna said. Her future self smiled and opened a portal for her, taking Imp Midna to a pocket dimension where she could hang out and have her own fun. Once her past self was gone, Midna smiled and appeared before Link, startling him.
“Hello there. My name is Midna and I’m here to help you.” She said. Link stared at her, unsure of what to do. The woman was very beautiful and appeared out of nowhere. The Twili approached him, lightly scratching Link’s chin. “I’m going to be honest with you, I’ll be giving you extra challenges on your adventure. If you decide to work with me on this, I promise you will survive. If you choose to fight me, the consequences won’t be pretty.” Link started to growl at her. He just wanted his friends to be safe. He tried to bite her, making the woman sigh.
She waved her hand and transformed him into a mouse. The boy started to freak out when he saw what she did. She now towered over him like a castle. Before he could react, Midna picked him up.
“Believe me, you don’t want to fight me. I have the power to do anything I want to you.” She said. Her stomach suddenly growled, making Link squirm. Midna thought about tasting him as a lesson of her power. After thinking about it though, she believed the point had gotten through. She set him down and transformed him back. “So, will you work with me?”
Link hesitated before nodding. Though he knew she would make things harder, he knew didn’t have much of a choice. The hero just hoped she would keep him safe like she said. Once Midna had his answer, she smiled and helped him out of the cage. Once he was free, Midna sat on his back. She was quite heavy but nothing Link couldn’t handle.
“Alright little wolf, let’s get moving.”
