Jake watched from the bushes as a guard made his patrol around the outer grounds, rifle in hand. Jake thought about knocking the guard out and taking his clothes, but he’d have to do it quick. There was no telling when the next guard would be around on patrol, and Jake needed to get inside of that house as soon as possible. As soon as the guard walked by the bushes, Jake grabbed him and pulled him into a sleeper hold, knocking the guard out quickly. Jake began to strip the guard, putting on his clothing. Luckily for Jake, the guard uniform came with a face concealing helmet, so that if Monica happened to catch a glimpse of him, she’d have no idea it was him sneaking about.
Jake picked up the guards rifle and continued on the guards patrol pattern, slowly working his way into the house. As soon as he did, however, alarms in the house began to go off. “ATTENTION: DNA SENSORS ACTIVE. DNA MATCH FOR: JAKE BLACKRIDGE.” Guards scrambled to the main hall, and Jake knew he’d better scramble with them, else he’d completely blow his cover. Jake hadn’t accounted for the fact that apparently she’d rigged her alarm system to go off at the first detection of his DNA. Just how obsessed was Nightshade?
“Listen up!” Monica called down from the balcony. “The day has come for all of you losers to finally do what I’ve been paying and preparing you for all along. Birdboy is here, somewhere. Find him, subdue him, and bring him to me! I’ve got some new toys to show him...” Monica stepped over to a pannel on the wall, and pressed her hand onto a handprint reader. Jake watched in horror as the New Nightshade suit emerged from the wall. Her new suit resembled Power Armor more closely than anything else, and there was no telling what kind of weapons and gadgets the suit possessed. Jake had to find the gem, and get out of here, and he had to do it fast!
