Table with Ashley

You are sitting next to your friend Ashley. She normally dresses very casually, but for this occassion she is wearing a very nice dress and it looks like she even put on some make-up.
It's nice to be at the same table at her, it always feels good to be close to her and it's a good occassion to catch up and enjoy some good food.

Ashley is making some small talk to you and the other colleagues at the table, meanwhile drinking wine and trying to eat a bit. You're really enjoying the starters and talk to Ashley about looking forward to the other courses tonight.

Ashley seems a bit nervous though. She does try to smile and chat a bit, but she's not herself. She doesn't eat much and doesn't really follow the discussions, her mind seems to be pre-occupied with something else.
The last time you saw her nervous like this was when she had to give a presentation for a group, but at a dinner like this she's usually very relaxed.

When she notices you looking at her, she takes another sip of wine and smiles at you. She puts a hand on yours and starts chatting again, looking kindly at you with her pretty eyes. She asks if you're enjoying the meal so far and hopes the rest of the evening will be just as good.

After the starter course it's time for a short break. People go to the restrooms, go out for a smoke and try to mingle a bit with other tables
