Beth decided to head upstairs first. She hadn't heard the others take the stairs, and though they looked pretty creepy, she figured the quicker they checked all the rooms in this mouldy old place, the sooner they could leave. The stairs creaked underfoot, and a cold air blew down towards her, causing her to rub her exposed shoulders to get a bit of warmth back. As she reached the top step, there were three different hallways to choose from; one to the left, one to the right and one straight on.
Beth had no idea which one led to what, so decided to start with the left and work her way across. She headed down the dark, barely lit hall, switching the flashlight on on her phone to shine a way. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a spider run along the wall, and gave a shriek, before tripping on an overturned piece of carpet and falling into an open doorway.
Landing with a crash on the floor, Beth groaned and sat up. "Stupid spiders...ugh..."
The room she now found herself in was a was in a rather fancy looking bedroom, with a large four poster bed in its centre and an enormous wardrobe and set of drawers on the far side. Directly opposite the bedroom was a large, full length mirror. Never one to pass up a chance to check herself out, Beth got to her feet, dusted herself off and checked her reflection. She readjusted her jeans and top, brushed a patch of dust off of her knee and admired her reflection. God, she was hot. Unable to resist, she pulled out her phone and took a selfie of her in the room. Instinctively, she went to upload the picture to her Instagram, but then remembered she had no signal.
"God dammit, that was a good pic too," Beth pouted, sliding her phone back into her pocket.
As she looked back at herself, she saw a strange glimmer of light flash across the mirror's glass. Squinting, she lent in for a closer look...
"What would you change..."
The whispering voice came from nowhere, and Beth froze in place. For a moment, she found herself unable to respond, her eyes focused intently on her own reflection. Though she didn't know why, she found herself compelled to answer the question...
