After what felt like a literal eternity, everything reappeared just as quickly as it had faded. You opened your eyes and felt as if you had just ran a marathon. The first thing that you noticed was that you were still inside this damned pod. However, you then began to notice that other things were different as well.
The pod may have still looked exactly the same, but it definitely was noticeably larger now and when you looked out of the tiny window, the console that Dr. Strauss was standing behind was now off to the left instead of being on the right like it had before. Then that you started to notice differences with yourself…
You could feel sweat running down the sides of your face and feel warm hair covering the back of your neck. When you glanced down, you saw a pair of breasts heaving with every deep breath you took. Even though they weren’t particularly massive, they were still impossible not to notice. As soon as you curiously grabbed them, you were almost as just surprised to see how different your hands now looked. They were completely unrecognizable. “Oh God... I’m really inside this woman’s body aren’t I?” you muttered as the feeling of having pair of handfuls of soft flesh within your palms was unsettling.
As you had just said that, your voice didn’t sound right. It wasn’t just because your voice sounded distinctly feminine; it also had to do with the fact that it sounded similar to an audio recording with a subtle but persistent static constantly playing in the background. As you brought your hands up to your ears, your heart almost skipped a beat as your fingers felt a pair of bulky contraptions that were sticking out of your ears and wrapped around behind them like a pair of headphones. You weren’t just in a woman’s body, you were now also deaf too!
Before you could really dwell on your newfound disability or gender, the pod swung open. The air felt much cooler outside as you stepped out on shaky legs while feeling both scared and vulnerable beyond belief. Everything in the room now seemed bigger than before since your new body was smaller than your original one had been. All of your clothes felt strange too as it clung tightly to you in odd places that you weren’t used to and that wasn’t even including how awkward it was to have a pair of breasts sticking out from your chest; even if they weren’t that large, they weren’t supposed to be there to begin with!
You couldn’t help but feel small, weak and vulnerable. The new jeans that you wore wrapping tightly around your flat crotch and the pair of bra straps now digging into your shoulders only added to the plethora of other strange emotions running through your mind that you couldn’t recognize or understand. It almost made you want to start crying when you suddenly heard a man’s voice coming from both your ear pieces that sounded like a low quality recording. It was familiar yet completely foreign at the same time.
“This feels completely amazing…” the voice said before giggling like a girl “…and I can finally hear like a normal person too!”
When you turned around, you saw that it was Katya in your former body! She was feeling herself up while continuing to laugh like a girl. Aside from making ‘you’ appear as if you were flamboyantly gay, Katya rubbed her flat chest with one of her hands while her other one was buried inside of her pants so that she could feel her new appendage. She then began to manically laugh when something surprised her. “Doctor… I think I’m getting an erection! What should I do?” Katya asked as your former face turned beet red.
Almost instantly, you felt a hand wrap around your shoulder as Dr. Strauss held out a mirror with her other hand. She held it up to your face which caused you to see the reflection of a horrified looking Katya LeGuin staring right at you! She looked as if had just seen a ghost. Her reflection was so surreal that it took you a moment to realize this was really you. Before you knew it, your new reflection started to become blurry as tears ran down your face. You weren’t an average 28 year old guy anymore; instead you were now a plain but somewhat cute 19 year old girl that happened to be deaf.
