You just barely make it on time to pick up your brother Liam. You get in the school drive thru and see him talking to some girl before you honk your horn and he climbs in.
“Your car looks like shit.” He says upon entry, throwing his bag in the back seat.
“So do you, we’re even.”
Liam looked just about like you. Brown hair with freckles and a little bit of peach fuzz just growing in. Except he grew his hair out a lot longer than you. It dropped down to his shoulders.
“So who was that chick?” You ask
“....” he seems annoyed
“What’s she like? What classes do you have with her? Gonna marry her? I can help you, you know.”
“....” he seems pissed
Guess you’re getting the silent treatment
He just looks out the window, not saying a word while listening to music. You love to tease him like this, but I guess he’s just not feeling it after you made him wait 10 minutes.
Your mind drifts and you think about that girl he was taking to. She seemed kinda cute. You thought about going to the middle school here to try out your ability, but that would just be weird an uncomfortable. Who would want to get close to these horny prepubescent kids anyway. Liam’s hygiene for example is awful.
Eventually you hit a red light and have to wait for a sec, it’s all going fine until you hear, “Just drop me off here” Says Liam, breaking the long silence
“What?”
“I said! Just drop me off here!” With that he opened the door and walked out onto the side walk. Away from your car.
You called out his name but he didn’t respond and just walked away. God that kid is so edgy.
You call your mom really quick to let her know about his outburst and leave it at now being your problem right now. Liam just needs to burn off steam.
So what now? You’ve got the rest of the day still to do stuff.
