Chapter #3Body Swap with Blake by: Elesis   Jaune looked at the remote, unsure.
To be completely honest, the idea of a reality altering device sounded too farfetched. It was most likely a joke from someone (possibly Cardin) and they were waiting for him to try using the remote and laugh at him by believe for even a second that it was real.
The most logical part of his brain wanted to throw away the object, before his reputation plummeted more.
Another part of him though wondered 'What if it is true?'
There was a non-zero chance the remote truly worked. Yeah, the possibility was still close to none, but there was no harm in trying it, was it? The worst it could happen was be a laughing stock for the rest of the day. Nothing new there.
Looking at Blake, whose attention was only in her book, Jaune considered what to swap.
It could be something minor as a clothing swap, but Jaune felt it would be a lackluster waste of potential, no he decided that the swap should be bigger.
After several seconds of deliberation, Jaune finally settled his finger in the body swap button. It was the choice less likely to backfire to him if he messed up somehow.
Aiming at the unsuspected Blake, Jaune pressed the button.
There wasn't any obvious sign of something had happened. No flash of light or mysterious beam. Everything remained the same, no one looked at the nonexistent commotion and even Blake remained in her place reading her book, unconcerned. It was just, that 'Blake' was now a blonde scrawny teenager dressed in a girl's uniform. Once again, no one batted an eye.
Jaune was the exception, his gaze was transfixed in what was his body, or used to. Looking at the hand holding the remote, he was greeted by the sight of a dainty and feminine hand. Nails done cutely and painted black. Then the the hair blocked his vision.
Making the hair go out of his way it finally hit Jaune the realization that the remote was real. Oh, and he now possessed a girl body.
Several strange sensations made themselves known. The wind hitting his long black hair. A new pair of auditory organs. The unfamiliar weight of breasts unsupported. The lack of bulge in his pants and the loose his briefs felt. And lastly, the difference in size. Jaune was smaller, but he felt powerful, fast, agile, ready to pounce over his enemy.
Everything was so new and weird, but Jaune couldn't say he hated it.
Turning his now yellow and feline eyes, toward his body under the tree, Jaune felt trepidation as he started making way in Blake direction.
It didn't took more than a few seconds to reach her position and draw Blake's attention. She looked from her book toward him, showing no signal of noticing anything wrong with seeing herself from the outside.
'So it seems no one else, even those affected by it notice the changes to reality.' Thought Jaune, greatly relieved to know the remote worked as intended and he wouldn't have to worry about other getting mad at him for any swap. Still, Blake was looking at him with her blue, so familiar eyes, waiting for him to say something.
"Err, Heeeey Bla~ke, do yo-you know where Ruby is." Stuttering at first due the unfamiliarity of his new voice, Jaune amended himself quick.
"Yeah, she said she was going to spend all the day in the workshop tinkering with her weapon." The act of listening his own voice from a different perspective was pretty surreal.
"Thanks, Blake you were of great help."
"You are welcome, Jaune."
Retreating after completing his objective, Jaune considered his options.
One one hand he could go meet with his team and swap with them.
He could look for Ruby and talk with her about the remote, he just needed to tell someone of such an awesomeity.
Lastly he could search for Schnee Angel and use the remote to arrange a date with her.
