A Little Further Out

Despite being close to three years of age or under, (she wasn't sure just how old she actually was now,) Aki was daring enough to go off on her own. I'm a big girl, she thought to herself, I can do this.

So she wandered away from the house and started off down the street. She kept close to the sides on the sidewalk, out of the way of anyone or anything coming, not minding how the concrete felt to her little bare feet, nor the lack of supervision that someone her age should likely have. She just felt free, toddling down the street on her own and looking for adventure.

She soon came across...
