Barbara walked over to the one window in her office and opened it up further. It had been left open a crack, but because this window had metal bars on the outside there was no chance of anyone getting in. No way to get out of the school was on fire either. She'd been principal for five years and it still made no sense to her.
She looked about and cocked her ears. The sound was gone, and might have come from outside, but she couldn't be sure. Barbara shrugged and slipped on her custom made Stilettos. She hated wearing shoes. But even she had to abide to the schools regulations, and what kind of an example would she make for her students if she walked around shoeless?
As She placed her bag on the side of her desk Barbara noticed the keys on her desk. So Jon had turned them in and left. She didn't want to admit it, but she was going to miss him. He did his Job and wasn't too bad. For a Human. But regulations are regulations, he had until the end of the semester to find other accommodations, and there's no way she could've allowed him to stay inside the school after the semester.
Little did she know Jon was focusing on other accommodations at that very moment, right under her nose.
Jon had watched that massive paw swung forward and touched the ground in front of him with enough force to knock him off his feet. This time, though he didn't know how, he managed to stay silent. He watched the now giant Tigeress walk toward the window and peer outside, assuming his little outcry was from somewhere out on the premises. Those sensitive feline ears had picked up on his voice. He'd have to remember that. He didn't want her to know he was there. Not yet. If he were discovered he needed a story that was believable.
He watched her powerful frame pause at the desk to pick up the keys he had left there the night before and watched as she placed them in a drawer in the desk. She sat down and started ruffling through some papers.
'Well Jon O'l boy' he thought 'I guess you got what you wanted.'
Not quite, not just yet. He needed to hitch a ride on her, or something she would carry. Obviously her Bag would be the proper choice. When he was sure she wasn't looking he made a run for it. As soon as he was able to catch his breath he made his assent. Fortunately for him, the zipper wasn't quite closed all the way and he was able to slip inside. He free fell maybe ten feet before landing on Barbara's lunch bag. He took a sniff, curiously. What did a carnivore like Barbara have for lunch? There were carnivore versions of popular foods out there, but he'd never seen them up close. Maybe he could take a sneak peek?
Yeah, and maybe he could get himself killed. There would be other times to find out. After all, once he got to her home he'd need to find food and shelter. It was tempting though.
