“Hi Lisa." Jon could feel his palms getting sweaty. He hoped for the best, but expected the worst. "I have something to ask of you. May I come in?”
"Sure."
As Jon followed her into the living room he studied the layout of the house. The house would seem small for anyone like Jon, but for a raccoon family it was just right. The furniture were all to scale of the raccoons, with the exception of one couch that was apparently for guests. Lisa offered it to him and he sat down.
"So, what is it that you want of me?" Lisa could see that her human friend looked nervous and that made her feel very concerned for him. He looked to her as though he was too embarrassed....No not embarrassed. It was a look like the fear of humiliation.
"Lisa." Jon began "What I'm about to tell you is going to sound insane and I'm almost afraid to tell you out of fear it might destroy our friendship."
"Jon." Lisa said as she lay a hand/paw on his. Her voice was gentle, but firm "Whatever it is, just tell me."
So Jon told her everything. The fact that he was now homeless, his crazy desires and his insane plan. And afterward there was a moment of silence between them.
"This was a mistake." Jon said "I shouldn't have come. I'm Sorry."
"No!" Lisa cried out grabbing his hand again, "Sit down."
Jon obeyed. Lisa looked him in the eyes. There was no pity, or ridicule in her gaze. But sudden realization.
She pointed a finger at him and exclaimed "You're a Macrophile!"
Jon blinked, "A what?"
"A Macrophile. It's a person who fantasizes about giants. Not the ones created from medical conditions like Acromegaly but really big giants like the size Godzilla. One of my friends had a boyfriend who was into that."
Jon could feel his face get hot. Lisa continued "Don't be embarrassed, I thought it was kinda cute. And I have to admit it sounds like fun." Then she got serious " Is this really what you want to do?"
Jon nodded.
Lisa smiled "Then I wouldn't be much of a friend if I said no."
Jon blinked. "Really? You're willing to do this? For me?"
Lisa raised a finger "We'll need to establish some rules."
"A-Absolutely!"
Lisa's smile wavered "How small will you be?"
Jon took out the injector "Hard to say exactly. Small, at least bug size."
"Well then, at least you'll be able to look up to me for a change"
Jon gave her a hug. "I have always looked up to you."
