Once everyone left the apartment Zach breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't mind his roommates, in fact he loved them, but he was getting the feeling that they were all growing tired of his routine. He wasn't completely unaware that he'd been taking advantage of the food, the beer, and everything else that his roommates were providing him. He didn't mind so much when it came to Dean, he was his brother, but he knew that Alec and Jared especially were hoping things would change soon.
Zach was feeling somewhat hungover. He recalls having had drinks with some friends last night and then coming back with a large pizza and playing video games until the wee hours of the morning. He might have also dug into the beer stash. That much was a given based on the empty beer cans scattered across the floor.
"Shower time," he said to himself after catching a whiff of his body odor. He tended to sweat in his sleep most nights, especially when he crashed in the living room since they didn't have an air conditioner out there.
Zach stripped out of his boxers and stepped into a cool shower. He knew his roommates were gone for the day, so he felt perfectly comfortable strutting around the apartment naked. Once he was out of the shower and the steam cleared from the mirror, he caught a glimpse of himself, in all his glory. He looked down at his fuzzy gut that Jared had poked earlier. He certainly wasn't fat but he was maybe a little softer than he was when he moved to the city.
Maybe his gut was a little bigger, Zach thought, but he didn't seem to care or mind. "As long as I can still see my dick," Zach joked to himself. He knew he was a long way off from that, especially since he considered himself to be pretty well endowed.
It was honestly the first time that he even had the thought that perhaps he'd put on a few pounds after Jared said something this morning. Zach shrugged it off, threw on some clothes, and grabbed his bag to head off to a local coffee shop.
Zach had been spending a lot of time in the apartment recently and needed to get out to get in a decent headspace to actually sit down and apply for jobs. He got a coffee and a few pastries from the place, and took a seat. Opening his laptop, he began looking at some of the stuff his brother had sent him. Zach had studied Computer Science, so ideally he'd find some IT work he could do. He'd never had a desk job before so the idea was completely unfamiliar to him. He wasn't sure that it was for him but he might as well put his studies to good use.
