You decided that, if you were going to go with someone, your best friend would be your best option. "Hey, mom? I think I'm gonna go with Andrew", you said.
Trish had a worried look on her face. "Hmm... I'm not sure that's a very good idea, Jack", your mother said. "Maybe it would be best if-"
She was interrupted as Barbara pulled her aside. "Come on, Trish", she chuckled. "If Andrew's able to look after Stevie, he's more than capable of keeping an eye on Jack. It'll give us some time to ourselves~"
Trish blushed heavily. "O-okay..." She cleared her throat and attempted to regain her composure, as you were oblivious of Barbara's flirting. "I'll let you go with Andrew for now, but be careful, Jackie, and stay in the kids area of the park. I'll go check on you three later", she said before she headed off with Barbara and Vivian.
"Wait... three of us?" You were confused for a moment until you walked over to Andrew and a chill ran up your nonexistent spine and you quickly regretted your decision. Standing right beside Andrew was his little brother, Stevie. That wasn't all. You could faintly smell bananas, and Stevie was trying to grab at his big brother, seemingly attempting to shove him into his mouth. He must have been bitten by Ian before coming over. "Oh no..."
Andrew soon noticed you and smiled. "J-Jack! H-hey there! Could you help me out here?"
"Uh... um..." You walked over and tried to pry Andrew away from his brother, only for Stevie to get a look at you and grin.
"Ack!", the little boy cried happily as he grabbed you as well. Both of you panicked as he pulled you down, trying to stuff the two of you into his hungry maw at the same time before you stopped him.
"W-wait!", you cried as you thought quickly. "If you eat us, you can't play at the park!"
"Huh? What you talkin abutt?", Stevie asked as he stopped for a moment.
"Y-yeah!", Andrew piped up. "If anyone catches you walking around without any older kids, they're gonna take you to the front and you can't leave until mom picks you up!" Andrew knew his little brother wouldn't care if he packed him and his friend into his chubby little tummy, but being denied a fun day at the water park would be extremely upsetting to him.
"Oh, you right", Stevie said. "But I hungy! You an' Ack go in my tummy when you squish, Bubba!" The four year-old tried to pull you and Andrew back down.
"B-but don't you wanna go to the playground?", you stammered.
"Or th-the wave pool?", Andrew added.
"You mean I choose?", Stevie asked.
"Yeah! But you can't go anywhere if you eat us!", Andrew pleaded.
The younger boy thought for a moment before smiling and letting the two of you go. "O-tay! You follow me!", Stevie said in a somewhat commanding tone.
Both you and Andrew sighed as you followed his little brother. The younger boy grinned as he led the two of you around the park like a couple of pets. "So my sister's dumb cat bit you, huh?", you asked.
"Yeah... when I was taking out the garbage this morning...", Andrew grumbled. "My brother's been trying to stuff me down his throat all day... and Ash accidentally sat on me for the car ride over..."
You felt bad for Andrew. You had enough trouble on your own, but you managed to get out of your predicaments on your own. Andrew seemed to have a bit more trouble whenever Ian bit him. "It sucks that we have to do whatever my little brother says... Sorry I got you into this mess, Jack..." Your friend grumbled.
As Stevie continued innocently marching along, you leaned over and whispered in Andrew's ear as you continued following him. "Maybe we can lose him", you suggested.
"Jack! That's messed up!", Andrew loudly whispered. "He might be a pain in the butt, but he's still my little brother!"
"N-no! I mean get our moms or one of the older kids to watch him!", you insisted. Even if you usually ended up in his belly, squished under his butt, or stuffed down his underwear, you would never consider being mean enough to ditch Stevie.
"Oh... I get you..." Andrew looked around and saw that his little brother was still walking a couple of feet ahead of the two of you. "We gotta find a good opportunity, though... if he finds out we're trying to get rid of him, we're going in his gut for sure..."
As the little boy continued walking, he suddenly stopped. It seems he's made his decision.
