You dashed as fast as your legs would allow down the staircase, only to be met with a cloud of smoke. The haze of nicotine fumes not only went into your nose but seemed to cling to your gooey body. You cough heavily and rub your arms as if your shivering in a vain attempt to get rid of the sensation.
"Well well, what do we have here?" A monotone voice with a hint of disdain drawled.
Rubbing your eye's, you can make out figures. You gulp as the dyed black hair, piercings and stereotypical clothes of a goth. The smoke should have tipped you off that this was the wrong set of stairs and now you were on some scary turf.
Then again you really didn't know if they were actually mean. Andrew had told you rumors and you usually avoided the area, but rumours weren't alway true were they? Ash had advised you to try to be more assertive but now might not be the best time.
