The villain encountered Soul Edge almost immediately upon entering the world. The creature called Nightmare was wandering about, killing anything that caught his attention. The villain smirked as he walked up to the carnage.
"Naughty naughty," he said. "Murdering all those people. Can't have that, no sir."
"Who are you to stop me?" Nightmare growled. "I must feed! Their Souls are MINE to consume!"
"No," the villain said. "YOU are mine. And honestly, finding you right off the bat is a time saver."
"You seek to control my power?" Nightmare said, laughing. "This foolish knight I'm wearing sought the same. Now he is merely my vessel. When he finally breaks down, I will consume him too!"
"I am more than a mere mortal, Inferno," the villain said, addressing the spirit of the sword, visibly startling Nightmare. "Yes. I know the name you've taken for yourself. And I am not impressed. You will be mine, Soul Edge."
Nightmare frowned. "...And for what purpose would you have me?" he asked.
"You'd be an interesting addition to my collection," the villain said. "Nothing more. My main goal here is to steal women of prominence and sexiness to make them my eternal sex slaves."
"How banal," Nightmare said, disgusted. "My power can bring ruin to worlds, and you just want me as a museum piece!"
"Honestly, its the safest use for you," the villain said. "Soul Calibur will share the same fate."
Nightmare cackled. "While I'd love to see my counterpart on a shelf, I refuse to be nothing more than a tool! HAVE AT YOU!" it roared, surrounding itself with dark energy and charging the villain, swinging its disgusting, partially organic blade at speeds that something that big had no right to move at.
The villain caught it easily, catching the blade in one hand.
"WHAT?!" Nightmare screamed, shocked.
"Mine," the villain said simply. He pressed his free hand against Nightmare's chest and fired a beam of pure holy energy, evaporating Nightmare's body and purifying the soul of its trapped host. Siegfried Schtauffen, freed and purged of sin, joined the heavens.
"How?!" Soul Edge said, laying helplessly on the ground.
"Simple: My power is infinite. Yours is not," the villain said, reaching down and picking up Soul Edge. The transformative effects of the weapon kicked in, transforming the greatsword into a weapon more befitting its holder. In this case, a long, black cane with organic veins leading up to the top, with an eye encased in a thick jewel. "Hm. Pimp cane. Appropriate." He twirled the cane and went on his way, looking for his first target. "Anyway. Time to collect some booty."
Soul Edge tried to reach out, to start consuming his new host's soul, but to the demonic weapon's dismay, he couldn't. Every attempt was rebuffed. He truly was nothing more than a possession to this man. He couldn't even whisper in his head to guide him. Something was very, very wrong...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
