The talisman starts to glow softly.

Suffice to say that there wasn't much of an explanation you could think of that would lead to a good explanation. You had some buddies at school but they didn't come over to your house often. Heck, it had been a long time since they did in all honesty, and you would have noticed if one of them had done this for you beforehand.

Then again, guess there was no harm in it otherwise. The item was a real piece of work. You could only imagine how much time and effort were needed to make this beauty, certain far more effort than anyone you knew could put in. You wished you could read the kanji on it, but you really didn't have that much familiarity with the characters. You could probably maybe notice a handful of characters from your viewings of anime and certain video games in the past. Nothing of that sort would really help you here though.

Which was too bad. Given what omamoris were meant to be, you would like to know what this one was supposed to have. Just regular old good luck? Or perhaps it was a specific blessing? Would have been nice to know but you supposed it wasn't a deal breaker.

Guess you could hold on to it until such a time when you learned where it came from. There surely had to be a logical explanation somewhere out there. It's just science after all, not that you were spectacular in this class but that was another matter.

"Guess I can....Huh?" you were speaking when something caught your eye.

The intricate designs of the omamori appeared to be glowing. The blue leaves and silver wind almost looked like they were swaying for real, or was that an optical illusion? The 4 Japanese kanji on it also appeared to be softly glowing golden, almost making the thing look like a living work of art. It...actually looked really cool, like one of those 3D toys you had as a little child. Looking up, you were near your bedroom window, so perhaps it was just the right lighting. Still, really cool effect though.

"Well, if that's the case, I'm definitely keeping you around," you smiled as you put the little thing on your nightstand.

So, in any case, you did have to get going on your day otherwise someone would chew you out. At least the omamori had brightened your mood a bit. That was a plus, right?

Anyway, you usually showered once you got out of bed, though you could go down for breakfast first. Either way worked for you honestly.
