As Lucy left the bathroom, there was a man standing nearby. A man of relatively young age, probably no more than late 20's at the absolutely maximum. The man was dressed similarly to many of the other people around, a nice suit and tie and everything that goes with it. Fairly standard stuff.
"Can I help you?" Lucy asked calmly, having had encounters with many people before.
"Oh, s-sorry," the man said. "Got a little nervous is all. I'm David Thomas, ma'am."
David was a pretty sincere man, and many would describe him as someone with a good heart. However, things weren't exactly the best with his situation. He had a college degree, but it went absolutely nowhere, still being stuck on minimum wage to this day. He had gone to numerous job fairs like this one, hoping to find at least someone to give him a chance. Appearance-wise, he had a rather average build, not exactly the most exercised, but still relatively thin. He had short red-blonde hair with blue eyes too.
Oh, and the primary reason he happened to be standing where he was?
"Uh...I just wanted...to ask for an autograph, ma'am," he asked. "I saw your last special on TV last week and I thought it was pretty cool."
Ah, that had to be when she did her program in the next town over. Been a little while since she had seen someone approach her for an autograph, but she was happy to do so all the same. Heck, the kids loved it the last time she showed up at a daycare.
"Why thank you, young man," Lucy smiled, proceeding to do just what he asked. "And what is your name?"
"David...David Thomas," he smiled a bit.
"Pleasure to meet you," she said, handing his notebook back. "And if I may ask, what are you looking for here?"
So, once David was assured he wasn't holding her up, he recounted most of what had already happened with him. All the school and job stuff he struggled with.
"Mainly I just....want to get a chance somewhere. I can move out and not be a burden on my parents," he sighed a bit before looking back at Lucy. "Oh sorry...I kind of rambled there."
"No, it's alright," Lucy nodded, looking contemplative. "There are plenty of young men like you looking to make such a mark."
David could only imagine what would happen from here.
