Swallowing your fear, you decide to test your luck on the third floor. There were just too many infected children on the first two floors. Nor could you trust yourself to sneak past them.
Slowly crawling up the stairs, you see her. Annie. Her massive face slowly turns left and right. Her bright green eyes frantically dart across the ruined shops, trying to find you. It is only by sheer dumb luck that she does not see you immediately.
You quickly dash to the nearest piece of furniture to hide.
Covering your face with your hands, you try your hardest to calm your nerves. You couldn’t afford to panic. Not here, not now.
With great caution, you slowly inch your head past the ruined desk to take a peek. To your relief, Annie has moved away from the third floor. The giant girl’s back was turned, and she was now preoccupied with the office building nearby.
You take this opportunity to better inspect the third floor.
To your left is a massive clothes shop. Although most of the wall is ruined with large holes, the morning sunlight creates massive shadows to hide in. It would be impossible for Annie to spot you there, but there is also the risk of infected children hiding there.
To your right however, is a chain of stores. A bookstore, and electronics store, and a snack bar, in that order. The roof is ruined, so they are all well illuminated. However, Annie would also have an easier time spotting you.
But if you are careful, you can use the toppled furniture in the stores to sneak by.
