The Hypnotist looks passes Ruby after looking at her more than eager expression. His eyes soon lock into the sour expression and hesitant body language of her neighbor, Weiss Schnee. He walks up in front of her with wide grin.
“So you seem like a bright and sunny type miss Schnee. I can tell by your happy demeanor you are really excited for this show.” A few people from the audience chuckle at the hypnotist teasing which only serves to make her more agitated.
“Oh quit your jesting you dolt. I already made my position on this show very clear earlier.” The heiress crosses her arms and looks away from the hypnotist.
“Ah yes my ears still hurt from the verbal lashing you gave me earlier.” He jokingly rubs an ear which causes a few more people in the audience to laugh a bit more.
“In all seriousness Miss Schnee it would seem out of the four lovely volunteers here on stage you are the most vocally against participating in my show.”
“As I’ve said I’ve been very clear on the matter.”
“But why are you so against participating in a show meant to share some laughs and have some fun with friends.”
“I’m sorry but being made a fool of in front of the whole school doesn’t fall under any definition of fun. In all honesty I would much prefer not to participate.” She scowls back towards him.
“Oh come on Weiss don’t be like that. We agreed we’d do this together as a team.” Ruby pleads from the side.
“Yeah just relax and have some fun weiss!” Yang calls out from the other end.
“I’m sorry but now that I’m up here I am certain that I shouldn’t take part in the farce of a show. No offense but as a Schnee I can’t be caught up in this nonsense.”
The smile the hypnotist has faded from his face as he looks down towards Weiss.
“You seriously are going to go back on your word and back out of the show dear? Could I ask you to reconsider? We wouldn’t want to deprive this kind audience of your presence on stage?” He points back to the audience,
“Yeah Weiss come on girl don’t be such a buzzkill!” Nora Valkyrie called out before Ren pulled her back. Though it wasn’t a sentiment that she shared alone. Other members of the audience starting speaking words of encouragement for Weiss to stay for the show.
“You see, your fans just want you to have a good time, why don’t you stay and try it out a bit?” The hypnotist pleads.
Weiss ponders for a moment. Still averting her eyes from the audience and teammates. She takes a deep breath,
“I’m sorry I can’t go through with this, could I please be escorted off stage so I can at least watch?”
“Weiss, come on we are a team you can’t back down.” Ruby begs.
“Yeah I’m not going to lie even I think you are being unreasonable.” Blake adds.
“No no, it’s quite alright. If Miss Schnee doesn’t want to participate we can’t force her. All we can do is show her what she’ll be missing out. Here miss Schnee, take my hand and I’ll sort things out.”
The Hypnotist offers his hand to presumably to lead her from her chair and take her off stage.
“Why thank you for being so understanding, I’m sure I’ll enjoy this show much more from the audie-“ as Weiss grabs onto his hand instead of pulling her up off her chair the Hypnotist surprises everyone by pull her towards him and gripping her hand tightly,
As she leans towards him he whispers in her ear. “Follow my finger with your eyes, focus on it, and when you do notice yourself growing more and more relaxed.”
With his other hand he points right towards Weiss’ face and spins his finger in front of it.
“W-wait what are you-“ Weiss was surprised and confused by this sudden strange move by the hypnotist. He acted so quick that she was caught off guard and as the finger spinning rhythmically in front of her encompassed her entire vision she could not help but follow along with her eyes.
“Ahhh just follow along, relax and empty your mind, ignore everything else as you focus on me and my finger.” The Hypnotist displayed such authority and command in such a short amount of time. Weiss was utterly speechless in the moment, her mind unable to keep up with the reality of the situation and oblivious to the others around her as they all murmur in confusion at what might be happening.
“I don’t... I” Weiss tried to protest but her mind was fogging up, her eyes caught in the mesmerizing spinning of the hypnotist’s finger and as she spoke the Hypnotist would soon interject.
“Relax and Focus on me and my words, don’t think just follow. I’m going to pull you into a deep state of sleep, just take a deep breath for me now.”
Weiss reflexively just inhaled from her nose, so much everyone can see. Before she can question why the Hypnotist gets right next to her ear.
“Good and as you exhale.... DEEP SLEEP!” the Hypnotist exclaims was he yanks Weiss’ arm towards him. The shock and abruptness of the pull causes Weiss’s body to slump forward and after a moment of silence the audience and the other members of RWBY watch as the young woman just sits their, slumped forward, eyes closed, mouth slightly opened, arms limply hanging upon her sides and the subtle sound of light snoring.
The Hypnotist stands above her lightly holding her shoulder and rocking her ever so slightly. He smiles towards the others on the stage before turning back towards the audience.
“That was called a speed induction, it’s a little more advanced trick but something I wanted to pull out for our very special guest today. Ladies and gentlemen please give it up for Weiss Schnee our first hypnotized volunteer this evening!”
The audience soon applauded seeing such a trick pulled so quickly while Weiss’s teammates look on in shock.
“What did you do to her?” Blake asks.
“Weiss are you okay?” Ruby looks concerned towards her teammate though the Hypnotist soon steps in forward to reassure her.
“Relax Ruby, Weiss is perfectly fine, aren’t you Weiss?”
“Yes...” Weiss replies faintly under her breath as she continues to slouch and snore as if she was asleep.
“I’m sorry for the deception, but I thought it’d be sorta lame if she simply left before trying out hypnosis. So Weiss for the rest of the show you will obey every command I give to you. I control your mind, body, feelings memories etc. Now when I snap my fingers and give you a command you will follow without question. If you understand reply yes master.”
“Yes master...” she mumbles.
“Good now then sit up and smile for the audience.”

He clicks his fingers and immediately Weiss sits up, eyes closed and smiles vacantly in front of her.
“Oh you can do better than that, bigger smile and say you can’t wait to have fun with hypnosis.”
Snap
Weiss smiles becomes larger, almost comically wide. Her upper body is stiff and ridged as she sits up, while her legs and arms limply swing like noodles.
“I can’t wait to have fun with hypnosis.” She says with a tired voice.
“Perfect, now then let’s make sure Weiss does have some fun and realize she had nothing to worry about. Let’s see how to best accomplish that?”   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
