As Stinky scanned the shelves for book titles, one that caught her idea was a spine that read "Farting Fantasy." Stinky, in disbelief, did a double take to see if she was reading it right, and sure enough, the title was very much the same as she first saw it. With a raised eyebrow, Stinky thought, Wow, that's uh, a CREATIVE title. Her curiosity piqued, Stinky grabbed the book from the shelf, and read the back, to see what the story was all about.
To her surprise, the book was not a linear story, but rather a fantasy-themed choose-your-own-adventure book. Stinky had never really engaged with the format before, but she always thought it was a cool idea - sort of like a video game, but in book form. It struck her as strange that this book would be in the graphic novel section, since there were very few pictures throughout the pages. Stinky then quikcly deduced that it was probably just left there by another customer.
She continued reading the description, and it read "A combination of fantasy and flatulence! Decide the fate of Cyrus Merrifall, a young mercenary who has been hired to act as a bodyguard for Princess Andaret, heir to the throne of the Epula Kingdom. All seems normal at first glance, but Cyrus quickly finds out that the princess has a secret - she is incredibly flatulent! Hijinks ensue as Cyrus learns more about the princess, and you have a role to play in where the story goes! Will Cyrus protect the princess, or succumb to her foul body odor? Will Cyrus fall for the princess, or not?"
Stinky couldn't help but chuckle as she read the description - she certainly thought it was stupid, but a fun kind of stupid. She couldn't help but think, It's like if someone made a story about me being a princess... I kinda dig it! Sure, it wasn't sci-fi, but fantasy wasn't off the table for what Stinky liked either.
Amused by the idea of getting to decide the fate of Cyrus and his relationship with the gassy princess, Stinky decided to take the book up with her to the front counter to check it out. She placed it in front of Dom, then proceeded to pull out her library card and told him, "I'd like to rent this one, Dom!" Dom chuckled softly and replied, "Well, that was fast! You must have had something specific in mind, eh?" Stinky clarified, "Actually, I just saw that and thought it looked funny - thought I'd give it a shot." Dom nodded as he scanned the book, then gave it back to Stinky. "Alright there, Elueze, you know the drill; bring--" "Bring it back either as soon as I'm done with it, or within the next two weeks. You got it, Dom." Dom chuckled again and told Stinky, "You have a nice day, Elueze. Tell me what you thought of it after you're finished!" Stinky waved back at Dom as she made her way out the library and replied, "You betcha! Thanks, Dom! I'll see you later!"

Stinky made her way out of the library, then stopped in place, contemplating what to do next. Hmm, she thought, wonder if I should just go home and give this book a read a shot. Or, maybe I can show Sam, see if we can do it together. That might be fun!
