Within the main laboratory of The Might Alliance's base, Generator was working on a new communicator for the team. The African-American hero was completely absorbed in her work at the moment. Her light-blue bodysuit was covered in grease from the previous things she had been working on. Her black-and-yellow hair was done up in a bun to keep it out of her eyes.
As she worked, she didn't hear the door to the lab open. Strangely, though, there seemed to be no one entering. It was until Generator felt something poke her back that she finally realized someone was in the room with her.
"GAH!" Generator screamed in surprised. "What the hell, Fade?!"
A laugh echoed through the lab as a person faded into existence. Standing behind Generator was Fade. The Japanese-American stopped laughing and wiped some tears from her eyes. She was wearing a grey bodysuit and a pair of goggles. She kept her black hair long. Unknown to Fade, there was a bit of pudge on her otherwise slim frame.
"Sorry, I just wanted to get your attention." Fade said. "Everyone's still worked up over Alexi's death."
"I know. It just feels so... strange they're gone." Generator said. "I mean, it means the city is safer now. Still, though..."
"Look, Alexi's gone. We don't have to deal with all those war machines or mutants anymore. Just usual, run-of-the-mill lunatics." Fade said.
Generator sighed as she siphoned some electricity from a nearby outlet, not noticing her belly swell slightly. She then sent the current into the communicator she was working on.
"OK, that should be good for now." Generator said. "I'm going to head out on patrol.
"What timing!" Fade said. "I was heading out myself. I wanna see how the city's doing with Alexi dead."
