Well, technically you're not a spellcaster.

You are an arcanist. And a darn good one too.

You craft devices and make up potions ahead of time. You're quite good at it too. Good enough, in fact, that if you wanted to give up adventuring, there are several alchemists and magic smiths who would gladly welcome you into their shop. You would definitely live more comfortably and independently than if you had remained on the farm.

But adventuring is what you've trained for, and it's what you want to do. You're training as an arcanist merely gives you an edge in your trained profession.

It also makes you more familiar with the ingredients that the top alchemists and magic smiths want, and will pay good coin for.

Point of fact, one of the top alchemists in the kingdom has commissioned you to retrieve for them
