"Ugh, FINE, like we GET IT Petey. You wanna play Traditional" Lindsey said after listening to the SAME rant from Peter for the third time. The jock REALLY wanted to play Stratego, "All in favor of Traditional?"
Eugene and Judy nodded wearily, having grown tired of Peter's far too enthusiastic and repetitive statements. Maybe the quicker than finished this, the quicker they could go back and choose a game type they actually liked. Or get pizza from Peter's 'pizza dude'. It was, after all, almost 5pm.
"Sweet!" Peter pumped his fist in the air triumphantly, and reached over to push the 'Traditional' button back down into the machine, the plastic creaking dangerously from the force of his touch. But then the button locked into place with a metallic click, and there was a buzzing sound accompanied by the game console calling out in a synthetic voice;
"SPORTS GENRE: TRADITIONAL MODE SELECTED. INPUT SPORTS TYPE AND SELECT AVATAR"
"Man, this game, like, really likes making us make choices doesn't it?" Lindsey muttered, pulling her hands away from her ears as the machine's stupidly loud voice continued to ring in her ears.
And what was, like, that weird taste in her mouth? Why did it taste like...green?
"Um I, um, think it's just to make sure we-we get the experience we, uh, want" Eugene muttered, to which Lindsey just squiggled a finger in her ear.
"What'd you say Genie?" The rainblow blonde asked in confusion.
"He said let's pick a sport to play!" Peter boomed with joyful enthusiasm, "Hey Lindsey type in footb-"
"Oh no you don't mister! You picked this for us when it's clear no one but you wanted to play it, so from now on we ALL agree on what we're doing!" Judy intervened, and poked her boyfriend softly on the nose with a black-tipped finger.
"Aw, but babe-"
"NO BUTTS! and if you can't play nice, you won't get mine either" Judy said with a indignant huff, crossing her arms across her substantial chest and sticking her nose in the air, much to the delight of Lindsey who broke out into a fit of giggles while Eugene just looked away out of politeness.
After the moment had passed and the group had talked amongst themselves again, with Peter finally being banned from having and input since he continually suggested football, the group decided to select.
