Jack opened his eyes and yawned. He sat up and stretched, then checked his phone for the time. It was 9:30. "Finally, a good night's sleep," he uttered. He noticed it was Saturday, so Jack took his time getting out of bed and changing. Probably a half hour or so later, Jack left his room all dressed and went to the kitchen for breakfast, where his mom was there to greet him.
"Good morning, Jack. Have you got anything going on for this weekend?" Carol asked. Jack shrugged. "I didn't have anything in mind, although I could probably hit up Jared or Brigette or someone to see if they wanted to do something". Carey warmly smiled. "All right, just let me know if anything is concrete. I'm planning on making a larger dinner tonight and inviting some people over, so if your friends wanted to come along, it would be just fine with me".
"Okay, cool," Jack replied. He made himself a bowl of cereal and sat down at the ktichen table, then Izzy entered. "Hey, guys, do you mind if Leila and Maria come over today? We've been planning on hanging out for a little while and felt that today was a pretty good day for us all". Jack rolled his eyes while Carey welcomed the idea. "Sure! I was just telling your brother that I'm going to make a larger dinner tonight, so having more people over will be a pleasure". Izzy excitedly jumped. "Awesome! I'll let them know, they should be over at about noon or so". She left the kitchen with a little bit of pep in her step, and Lucy filled in her presence.
"Good morning," she yawned. Still dressed in all PJs, Lucy appeared to be ready for a day off. "Hey," Jack responded. "Lucy, I'm preparing a larger dinner tonight, so if you have any guests you want to invite over, feel free to do so," Carey said. Lucy shrugged. "All right, if I think of anyone, I'll be sure to let them know". Lucy got herself a bowl of cereal as well and sat down next to Jack. There wasn't much conversation to be had, so Jack wrapped up eating cereal and went back to his room. There, he contemplated what he was going to do for the day.
"You know," he thought aloud, "I could mess around with everyone and use my shrink ray. Although, Izzy and Lucy are pretty playful. And if Maria and Leila come over, I might be in even more trouble if I do that". Jack thought a little more about it, but texted a few of his friends inviting them over before he made a decision. To Jack's disappointment, they all had one excuse or another not to come. So, it would be just him dealing with his family and their friends.
