Despite Penelope's less-than-thrilled comments and Axel's confusion, Bryce couldn't help but subtlety flex his muscles... they felt good... and strong. He could feel the blood rushing into each vein. Each muscle felt slightly larger and tingled with fatigue, he'd effortlessly gained the pump of about two or three work-outs somehow?
He wasn't dim, he knew what he'd said and how it'd seemingly affected him and everyone around him... he thought for a moment before deciding to make a crazy test, if his theory wasn't right, it could go very wrong for him. He knew why Penelope was acting so uncharacteristically short with him, she'd spoken to him a handful of times about cutting back on the gym... telling him his muscles didn't suit his frame, and that he should just be happy how he was. But she couldn't really understand, at 5'11 she'd ended up pretty tall for a girl, she never had to deal with the constant harassment from guys or the depressing rejections from taller girls. Bryce knew just what he wanted to try, it was just a matter of making it seem natural just in case he really was going mad!
"Well, sorry Pen but I'm not trying to flex on you, what's your problem with my muscles?" he asked, trying not to slip up on his words.
Penelope huffed and crossed her arms, "You really don't listen, I've told you before, sorry Bryce but they just don't suit a smaller guy? No offense, you should be happy how you are dude... short guys can be kinda cute too you know?"
"So cute..." mocked Axel with a chuckle, at 6'1 he'd never had to picture the world from Bryce's perspective.
Bryce shrugged it off, he was used to it by now... "Funny? I don't think I'm that small?"
He waited... one eye half-shut... unsure if his speculations were insane and if they weren't what would happen and how would it occur?
