"Wake up gang, we're here!" Arianna's husband bellowed throughout their SUV, waking up her and her 4 children. She could hear her children slowly waking up, and looked out the window to get a good view of her new home. She'd only been to the house once or twice before they moved in, but being here on moving day was a new feeling. One of glee perhaps, or even one of opportunity.
It was a nice two-story house, recently modernized and put onto the market. It had enough space to accommodate their family and her husband's work needs, in comparison to their old place, which barely crammed them all in. As John stepped out of the car, she could hear him complaining about his family's lackluster reaction to their arrival. "We're glad to be here baby, it's just tough to be optimistic when all we have seen were business parks and traffic on the way here. Plus you did give us a rude awakening" she said, yawning as she said it.
He muttered something and proceeded to shut the car door. He then proceeded to talk to one of the moving van drivers.
"Sheesh who pissed in his coffee?" Joey voiced from the backseat, annoyed that his dad was acting such a way."Somebody peed in daddy's coffee?" Alexis spoke up from the third row, poking her head over the seat.
"Nobody did Alexis, it's a figure of speech" Sarah laughed.
"I need to pee, I've been holding it since we left," Anthony said, also in the third row, with his sister.
"You guys, don't say stuff like that in front of your younger sister, she'll just end up repeating it some time and I don't wanna get a call from her school. Anthony, get out from the trunk and I'll take you inside to the bathroom" Arianna said, taking off her seatbelt and opening the door. Just before she could open it, however, John tapped on the window which prompted her to roll it down. "Well, honey? What'd he have to say?" Arianna asked. "Well, he basically said that they'd do all the heavy lifting, but you guy need to be attentive and tell them where to put everything." He then focused his attention on the backseat, "So up and at em! Go tell those gentlemen what to do with your stuff!", John barked at his kids.
The Ramos children then piled out of the car, the two older ones exiting from the rear doors, and the two youngest crawling out of the trunk latch.
Anthony must've forgotten about his need to pee because he was the first one to lead a mover into their new house.
"Hey, I left signs on each bedroom door as to which belongs to whom! Follow accordingly!" Arianna hollered out to her kids, as they started disappearing into their new home. "It was such a smart idea to hire them, John. I couldn't do all that work after being in the car this long" Arianna confessed.
"I know Ari, luckily one of my employees is related to the head mover so I'm getting a sweet discount on this all. Go figure".
"Hey, Mrs. Ramos! This is a box of your belongings! Mind showing me where to put it?" one of the workers hollered from the back of their van.
"Sure thing!, Follow me to: "
